This Privacy Policy explains what SipProof processes, why it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
The short version
Your hydration entries, settings, and proof photos are stored locally on your device. Photo analysis runs on-device. SipProof does not upload proof photos to Firebase Storage. Cloud data is limited to information needed for subscriptions, notifications, and the optional Sip Duo feature.
1. Information stored on your device
- Hydration entries, amounts, drink types, timestamps, confidence results, and container details.
- Proof photos saved to SipProof’s private app storage.
- Goals, units, favourite drinks, reminder preferences, challenge progress, onboarding answers, and acceptance of the current terms.
This information generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to operating-system backup behaviour.
2. Photo processing
When you capture or choose a proof photo, SipProof prepares and analyses it locally using an on-device model. The app uses the result to suggest a container type and fill level. The photo and model input are not sent to Firebase or a cloud AI service by SipProof.
3. Sip Duo cloud data
If you use Sip Duo, SipProof uses anonymous Firebase Authentication and stores the following in Google Firebase/Firestore:
- An anonymous user identifier.
- Your chosen username, normalized username, avatar reference, timezone, and partner identifier.
- Partner requests and partnership status.
- Daily hydration total, daily goal, completion status, and update time.
Your connected partner can see the profile and progress information required to display your shared race and recent results. SipProof does not use Firebase Storage for proof photos.
4. Notifications
If you allow notifications, SipProof schedules hydration reminders on your device. When partner notifications are enabled, an Expo push token and update time may be stored under your anonymous Firebase user so the app can deliver relevant notifications. You can disable notification permission in device settings.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps SipProof validate purchases and determine whether SipProof Pro is active. These providers may process product identifiers, transaction or receipt information, subscription status, an app user identifier, storefront information, and technical information needed to operate purchases. SipProof does not receive your full payment-card details.
6. How information is used
- Provide hydration tracking, reminders, insights, challenges, and photo proof history.
- Operate usernames, partner requests, shared progress, and friendly results.
- Verify subscription access and restore purchases.
- Protect reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with law.
SipProof does not sell your personal information or use proof photos for advertising.
7. Service providers
SipProof relies on Google Firebase for anonymous authentication and partner data, RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure, Expo for app and notification infrastructure, and Apple for distribution, TestFlight, notifications, and purchases. Their handling of information is governed by their respective policies.
8. Retention and deletion
Local information can be removed by deleting the app. Detaching a Sip Duo partner removes the active partnership but may not erase all account records. To request deletion of cloud profile, partner, progress, or notification-token data, email us from the address below and include your SipProof username where available. Subscription transaction records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required for purchase validation, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
9. Security
We use platform protections and access rules designed to limit access to cloud data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Keep your device and usernames secure and only connect with people you trust.
10. Children
SipProof is a general habit tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors and seek professional guidance before setting hydration goals for a child.
11. International processing and legal rights
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need information sufficient to verify and locate the relevant account.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as SipProof changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to yasirabid96@gmail.com.
